Sock Product Photography

Length is the variant, and a flat pair makes every length look similar.

One free generation a day. No account, no card.

How it works

  1. 1. Upload your socks

Photograph a pair laid flat and square so length and cuff are measurable.

  2. 2. Choose a scene

Clean staging for listings; worn context communicates length best.

  3. 3. Generate and download

One free watermarked result. Sign up for the clean, full-resolution file.

Why this is worth getting right

Socks are sold by length far more than by anything else, and length is the attribute a flat photograph communicates worst. No-show, ankle, crew and over-the-calf are four different products for four different uses, and laid flat they differ by a few centimetres that mean very little to a shopper — on a leg they are unmistakable. That makes worn or leg-context imagery unusually valuable in a category that almost always defaults to a flat pair on white. The cuff is the second attribute and the one that determines whether a sock stays up, which is the single most common complaint: a well-constructed rib cuff with good recovery grips, while a tired or thin one slides down all day, and cuff depth and rib density are visible if photographed properly. Knit construction carries the rest of the quality story, since cushioned soles, reinforced heels and toes, and mesh ventilation panels are visible structural differences that separate a technical sport sock from a plain one. Fibre matters commercially because merino, cotton and synthetic blends behave differently in warmth and moisture, and the surface look differs enough to be worth resolving. Packaging deserves a frame in a heavily gifted category, and multipacks need a group image showing exactly which designs are included.

Tips that actually help

  • Show length on a leg or with clear context, because no-show, ankle, crew and over-the-calf are the variants buyers choose between.
  • Photograph the cuff closely, since rib depth and recovery decide whether the sock stays up — the leading complaint in the category.
  • Show cushioning, reinforcement and mesh panels, as those are the structural differences that justify a technical sock price.
  • Resolve the knit surface, because merino, cotton and synthetic look and behave differently.
  • Give multipacks a group image showing exactly which designs are included.

Najczęstsze pytania

Why is length hard to show?
Because flat, the four common lengths differ by a few centimetres that mean little. On a leg they are unmistakable.
What is the leading complaint?
Socks sliding down. It comes from cuff construction, so rib depth and recovery are worth photographing closely.
Which construction details matter?
Cushioned soles, reinforced heels and toes, and mesh ventilation panels — the differences that justify a technical price.
Does fibre show in a photograph?
At sufficient resolution, yes. Merino, cotton and synthetic blends have visibly different surfaces.
Do multipacks need special treatment?
A group image showing every included design, since buyers want to know exactly what arrives.
Is packaging worth photographing?
In a heavily gifted category, yes. It is part of what the buyer is choosing.
Should I show socks worn?
For length, it is the clearest answer available. A flat pair is fine for pattern and construction detail.
Is the free generation really free?
Yes. One per day, watermarked and capped at 1024px. Signing up gives you 20 credits and clean full-resolution files with full commercial rights.
